About the Department

Welcome to the Department of Bengali of NakshalbariCollege. The College, establishedin 2008, had Bengali as a General course and it was in 2011 the College was permitted to offer Bengali Honours to the students. With the dedicated and earnest efforts of efficient Professors the Department has been smoothly functioning and heading towards fulfilling theaims and objectives of the Department of Higher Education.

We believe it is our duty to promoteValue- based education through the literary knowledge of Bengali humanistic literature. TheDepartmenthas taken positive steps in the field of external activities during the last few years. To enhance the skills of the students, the Department regularly assigns and conducts Project works, Departmental seminars, Speciallectures, Students’ seminars , Field trips and Tours and so on. The Teachers also conduct smart-classes through digital mode in the College.

The department aims at ensuring the all-round development of the student and strives in making them successful citizens of the nation. Providing quality education is our first and foremost objective .
