About the Department

Department of History has started its journey with the very beginning of learning process in Nakshalbari College in the year 2008. Honours as an important feather added with this department from the Academic session 2010-2011. At present there are two substantive teachers and two State aided college teachers. To enhance the knowledge of the students’ different activities such as group discussion, paper presentation, field survey, quiz competition and unit test are conducted by the Department on a regular basis. To fill up the gap of knowledge sometime extra classes as a tutorial are provided to the students. After the end of regular classes in every semester the remedial classes are also provided to the students and these classes helps a lot to fill up the gap of knowledge of the students especially the slow learners.
