Conduct and Discipline

  • Each Student is provided with an Identity Card with his/her Photograph, attested by the Principal of the College. This is an important document and should be carefully preserved. Students must come to the college with their college identity card which they should produce on demand. In case of loss, a student shall have to make an F.I.R. with the Local Police Station and apply to the Principal with the F.I.R. number for a duplicate card which may be issued on payment of Rs. 100.00 (Rupees One Hundred) only.
  • Every student must see the college Notice Board every day to keep himself / herself properly informed through various notices issued by the college from time to time. Ignorance of any fact circulated through any notice for reasons of non-perusal of the notice on the part of any student, for whatever grounds, shall not entitle him to any special treatment.
  • Misbehaviour with teachers and staff is a serious offence and may lead to the expulsion of the offender.
  • Ragging includes rowdy, undisciplined activity causing physical or psychological injury to any student. Physical, sexual or verbal abuse is also considered as ragging. The college can take necessary steps as suspension, debarring from examination, withholding results, expulsion, cancellation of admission, rustication to student(s) found guilty of the offence.
  • Outsiders are not permitted within the College premises and students must not bring outsiders to the college for any reason.
  • Shouting inside the college is not permitted. Use of mobile phones is strictly prohibited within the class room during the class.
  • Loitering in the corridor, disturbing classes, copying in examinations, are treated as misconduct and breach of discipline and warrant punitive action.
  • Students are to maintain discipline inside and outside the College. Smoking, spitting of 'pan masala' in the College Verandahs, Common Rooms, Lawns and Class Rooms is strictly prohibited.

Attendance and College Examination

  • A student must attend 75% of the total number of classes held during the course of study for obtaining the eligibility for papering in the Annual Test Examination as well as University Examination.
  • It is compulsory for all students to appear for all college tests and examinations and score the requisite pass marks, along with necessary class attendance, in order to be promoted to the next higher class.

  • Registration Fee may be changed as per NBU notification.
  • Game fee was increased following notification no. Spb/d-cir/17/1229 dated: 27.04.2017

Registration

After admission every student is required to get himself/herself registered with the University of North Bengal. Admission of a student migrating from an academic board or university other than the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or the University of North Bengal remains provisional and as such is liable to cancellation if the migration certificate and other necessary documents are not submitted in due time or the University of North Bengal does not approve the Migration.

Form Fill-up

Eligible candidates should fill in the University Examination forms by paying requisite fees as per the notification of the University of North Bengal.

Subject change

No change of Subject, and change from General to Honours category and vice versa shall be granted after the filling in the Registration form, by the candidates.

General

  • Election of class representatives to the general committee of the students union is usually held in the month of January. Only regular student of college is eligible to participate in the election. (The rules and regulations regarding Students’ Union Election the guideline of N.B.U. is final)
  • All applications of the students addressed to the Principal must come through the College Office.
  • The college shall abide by the pattern for holidays and recess as may be determined by the University from time to time. During the recess, classes shall remain suspended.
  • The academic session of the college begins from the 1st day of July of every year and ends on the 30th June of the following year.
