ABOUT COLLEGE:

Nakshalbari College was established in the year 2008 with a vision to foster academic up-liftment of the rural students. The college is located at Nakshalbari, Darjeeling district which is in close proximity to the international Indo-Nepal border. Our college is affiliated to the University of North Bengal with an accreditation of 2(f) and 12 (b) by the University Grants Commission.  It abides by the University guidelines for all curricular and co-curricular transactions. We provide courses like BA Honours& BA Programme and also offer Programme Courses in B.Sc. Apart from these we offer Programme Courses in special subjects like Physical Education and N.C.C. We have a well-equipped   library which is accessible to all the students. Free wi-fi facilities are also provided to the students for better access and enhancement of knowledge through various e-resources.

Our college emphasizes on all round development of students and provides different opportunities to bring out their innate abilities by organizing frequent activities like Seminar Week, Youth Parliament, Annual Sports, BasantaUtsav and render various social services to the adjacent villages. Nakshalbari College N.S.S. Unit and N.C.C. Unit have made its mark in both State and National level programmes. The College has a dedicated group of teaching and non-teaching members who always strive to become a support system and provide a solid platform for students to achieve their aims and ambitions.
